A fun collection of the best parts of the best
roads in (mostly) Westmoreland county. Makes a nice after-dinner ride
in the summer or a quick blast when you can't spend half a day or
more on the bike. Early Sunday morning is a good bet for the least
traffic. Nice scenery and lots of fun sweepers. |

This loop heads northeast from Monroeville to
Punxsutawney, home of the world's most famous groundhog. From there
it cuts west to New Bethlehem and then south past Keystone Lake. This
is a nice scenic ride with a variety of roads from cruisers to sweepers
and even some twisty bits. |

This ride heads southeast from Irwin through
the Laurel Highlands into WV, and follows the Cheat River to Parsons.
It then heads north through Monongehala National Forest, west to Fairmont,
then north past Morgantown back to Irwin. A wonderful mix of scenery,
sweepers, twisties and back roads. Highly recommended. |

It doesn't get any better than this if you want
a full day of the best twisty roads in the region. This ride starts
and ends in Avella, PA. It heads west to WV, then south down the panhandle
to Hundred. It then cuts west to New Martinsville, crosses into Ohio
and explores the great roads in Wayne National Forest before returning
via Wheeling and then back into PA. Not to be missed. |

A long day of awesome twisties and sweepers
in (mostly) WV, but does include a wee bit of VA and MD. The section
from Seneca Rocks to VA (and back) is amazing and the run up 42 to
Mt Storm is perhaps the best section of road in the state. Named in
honor of Mark aka "Dad" and his 500+ mile twisty fixes deep
into West Virginia. |

A great day of scenic sweepers thru the forests of north-central PA. Potter County calls itself "Gods Country", hence the name of the route. A few twisty bits here and there and some country roads too, but mostly sweepers with great views and very little traffic. NOTE: Starts in St Marys, PA (about 2.5 hours northeast of Pgh) | |||

A sampling of the best twisties and sweepers in eastern Ohio. Pavement
is generally good, but there will be some gravel and bumpier sections.
Many options exist for shortening the route if needed, such as 78 east
out of Woodsfield. NOTE: Starts in Steubenville, OH (about 45 mins west of Pgh) |

Scenic mix of mostly back roads and some country highways. Great (short) day on the bike, especially in the fall when the colors are peaking. A favorite! |
